Peculiarities and Technical Aspects of the Samsung Galaxy A13

Smartphone Samsung Galaxy A13 belongs to the budget segment. Its cost differs depending on the amount of storage and RAM, and whether there is support for 5G. It has a good main camera and a large screen.

Design

Galaxy A13 expectedly received a plastic case. The lightweight and relatively durable material fit well with the concept of an inexpensive device.

The color scheme is not adjusted manually. The standard profile is calibrated with a bias towards cold shades, but without the predominance of an unpleasant blue tone.

Brightness reaches 600 nits – an indicator sufficient for comfortable work with a smart phone under the bright rays of the sun. The refresh rate of the 60 Hz screen does not give super-smoothness, but it significantly saves battery power.

Camera

The budget A13 received a 50-megapixel Tetracell unit. Here’s what the engineers put in it:

• Main camera f/1.8 aperture.
• A wide-angle f/2.2 camera for landscape photography.
• 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

In the Camera application, you can manually adjust the ISO in the range from 100 to 800, exposure compensation, and white balance.

The main camera takes photos with a resolution of 12.5 megapixels (4080 x 3060). Color reproduction is good for a budget smart phone. The camera captures most of the details, including fine patterns.

Operating system

The smart phone runs on the Android 12 operating system with a proprietary shell from Samsung One UI 4.1. Updated in March 2022, the OS introduced new notes, a smart widget option, and additional gallery features. One UI 4.1 is well-optimized and easily customizable for different tasks.

Performance

A13 does not claim a place at the top of powerful devices. The 2020 Exynos 850 processor is good for surfing and non-demanding tasks. Eight Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz and the Mali-G52 graphics accelerator are not very high performance. But as for a budget smart phone, it is quite enough.

A13 is a good smart phone for a gift to friends, surfing, business trips, and summer holidays. It will be handled by the older generation. A13 is a model for undemanding users who value Samsung technology for build quality, support, convenient shell, and useful system functions. Amateur photos and videos are good for the device.
