The review is dedicated to the new product from Samsung – the Samsung Galaxy A03. The announcement of the novelty took place in November 2021, during a period of shortage of chips in the world market. However, in a budget smartphone, the manufacturer installed a modern eight-core processor, a 6.5-inch LCD screen, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, a 5000 mAh battery, and Android 11. Design and appearance
The designers did a great job on the look of the smartphone. It turned out to be interesting and memorable. The Samsung Galaxy A03 has overall dimensions of 164.2 mm in height, 75.9 mm in width, and 9.1 mm in thickness. The screen occupies a little less than 90% of the front surface area. The camera is made in the form of a droplet and is located at the top of the screen.
The device is made of hard plastic. This material is characterized by increased strength, impact resistance, and durability. The back cover has a textured surface, which allows you to confidently hold the smartphone in your hand. On the one hand, the pattern on the back cover is simple, on the other hand, it is original – four intersecting edges in the center of the smartphone.
In the upper left corner, the manufacturer placed the camera module. The camera module sticks out a little from the case, so the presence of a cover on the smartphone is mandatory so as not to scratch the protective glass of the cameras. There are only two cameras, as well as an LED for illumination.
Screen
The manufacturer put a screen with a diagonal of 6.5 inches into the smartphone, made using PLS TFT LCD technology. The matrix has a modest resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels, which, however, prolongs the autonomy of the Samsung Galaxy A03. The aspect ratio is 20:9, while the pixel density is not high and is 270 PPI. However, the pixels are not visible on the screen during normal use. Screen refresh rate 60 Hz. Outdoors in bright light, the screen does not go blind, the screen brightness is more than enough.
Smartphone stuffing
The manufacturer used Unisoc Tiger T606 as a central processor. This is a modern eight-core chipset manufactured by Spreadtrum Communications and manufactured using a 12-nanometer process technology. The processor has 2 fast Cortex-A75 cores at 1612MHz and 6 slow Cortex-A55 cores at 1612MHz.
Sound
The Samsung Galaxy A03 has a single speaker, which, however, does not play so badly on the street. Its location on the bottom end is typical, so the speaker is suitable only for watching movies, but high-quality music cannot be compared with it. For the sound, the smartphone deserves a good rating.
Communications and sensors
Regarding communication capabilities, everything is fine here. On-board Bluetooth version 5.0. The Wi-Fi standard works in both versions (IEEE 802.11ac and 802.11n). There is no NFC support in the smartphone. Of the navigation systems, there are the following: GLONASS, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, and Galileo. The Samsung Galaxy A03 finds satellites well and very quickly. For use as a navigator, the smartphone is great.
Battery
The manufacturer took care of the customers and installed a 5000 mAh battery. This capacity will be enough for the active use of the smartphone for two days without recharging. Active use refers to the use of social networks, watching videos and listening to the audio, making calls, and playing games.
Camera Features
The smartphone has one camera on the front surface (selfie camera) and a module of two cameras on the back side of the case.
The camera module contains:
