Yet the Jaguar remains an unusually powerful car: its electric motor generates the same pleasant rumble as a jet engine turbine – and everything subsides, you just take your foot off the gas pedal. Dynamic acceleration from any speed is a bonus that sets the I-Pace apart from many competitors. The absence of the slightest vibration is no longer just a bonus, but part of the basic characteristics of the car. It does not have the gear selector that until recently seemed mandatory, which was replaced by keys with the designation of driving modes.
The devil is in the details
Jaguar is always a guarantee of quality, and the I-Pace meets all the conceptual characteristics that a modern electric car should have. The appearance of the car is quite unusual: a short hood, a “truncated” rear end, a cabin shifted forward – and at the same time a smooth “streamlined” typical for models of this concept: expressive wheel arches with a wavy shoulder line, thin blades of rear lights.
Improved visibility from the driver’s seat was achieved thanks to an engineering find, which consists in shifting the front row of seats to where the engine compartment is often located. This has increased the distance between the front and rear seats so that passengers traveling in the rear are more comfortable.
The luggage compartment offers another bonus. Not only is its volume 656 liters, but there is also an additional compartment for 27 liters under the hood.
